It would also soften the plastic, deforming it to some degree. The only way to clean off graffiti paint on a plastic surface is by rubbing it with ultra-fine steel wool.

For masonry, the graffiti paint can be removed by using a 3000 psi pressure washer. Sandblasting can also be used to remove the paint.
